Tradedoubler TrackerTM - April 2004The Tradedoubler TrackerTM is a monthly report detailing online sales volumes and trends across Europe, based on Tradedoubler's monitoring of sales made through its European network. The data contained within the tracker shows results from 660 advertisers, spanning a multitude of different sectors. Tradedoubler is an independent third party tracking technology.
Following a record month in terms of both sales volumes and sales values in March, all sectors have experienced a dip in sales in April.
However in comparison to February all sectors, with the exception of the Travel industry (which traditionally does tailor off in April), have maintained or improved upon the strong level of sales seen two months ago.
Total sales volumes and sales values across Tradedoubler's network also reflect this steady growth and show an increase compared to February of 9% in sales volumes and 26% in sales values.
This is representative of the trend seen in the wider e-commerce environment and would suggest that the move towards online shopping is now showing a more sustained and steady level of growth.
