Tradedoubler TrackerTM - February 2005

The Tradedoubler TrackerTM is a monthly report detailing online sales volumes and trends across Europe, based on Tradedoubler’s monitoring of sales made through its European network. The data contained within the tracker shows results from 700 advertisers, spanning a multitude of different sectors.
Tradedoubler is an independent third party tracking technology.





  • Total sales volumes in February have dropped by 14% following the peak Christmas and January sales period. Over the last three months total sales volumes have mirrored the pattern seen over the same period last year.
  • As the discounted pricing associated with the January sales has come to an end, the average order values has increased. Subsequently total sales values have dipped just marginally by 6%.
  • Sales volumes have increased by 80% compared to February 2004 and sales values have increased by 66%

  • Following huge growth last month, the Financial Services sector has continued to increase by a further 4%
  • As expected, the Travel sector has remained steady in February following strong growth last month. It is expected to remain constant throughout March as the sector increasingly mirrors offline Travel trends
  • The Consumer Electronics and Entertainment sectors which experienced huge sales volumes in the run up to Christmas have continue to decrease this month

* Historically, sector specific data has included results from Tradedoubler’s top five clients per sector. In order to provide even more reliable trends Tradedoubler decided, in January 2005, to expand the number of clients included per sector to 10.
